San Gabriel Valley in Time is independently run by San Gabriel Valley based writers, photographers, and content creators.
The main goal of San Gabriel Valley in Time is to bring awareness to topics, stories, and issues that aren't being documented or spoken about.
Stories that allow us to understand the San Gabriel Valley
more thoroughly, but also stories that provide more insight into the history and the art, culture, and entertainment in the San Gabriel Valley.
The San Gabriel Valley is one of the main Valley's in Los Angeles County. It was also the place where the San Gabriel Mission was founded by the Spanish. An event that would lead to the founding of the city of Los Angeles.
But the San Gabriel Valley is located on what was originally
indigenous Tongva land; before Spanish colonizers arrived, and before the US acquired the Alta California territory from Mexico.
The San Gabriel Valley presently consists of 30 cities including: Arcadia, Baldwin Park, Covina, El Monte, Diamond Bar, Glendora,
La Verne, Montebello, Pasadena, and San Gabriel.
The San Gabriel Valley is also home to several census-designated places and unincorporated communities including: Altadena, Avocado Heights, Mayflower Village, and Valinda.
